Description
Medieval Teutonic Shield Wall -28mm (1/56) from Northern Crusades
A small Teutonic Order infantry formation. Behind a large “horse-shield” you have a soldier with a horse-pike, the round place is to ensure the horse will be stopped. There is also a crossbowman and a sword soldier. This was an effective small unit were the crossbowman could kill the cavalry at a distance, the pikeman when the horse is close, and the sword soldier to finish off the wounded knight/horse.
